How do you get solar panels with ECO funding?

By utilising the power of the sun, you’ll generate clean and renewable energy for your home paid for fully by the Government’s ECO4 scheme.
Solar PV can be installed in both on-gas and off-gas homes that already have a
hydronic heat pump, electric storage heater (ESH), or an electric heating system
(EHS). If the home has none of these measures, one can be installed as part of the
ECO4 project.

How is it free?

The ECO4 scheme is a government initiative that provides free energy-efficient improvements to eligible households in the UK. The scheme covers the full cost of the installation of solar panels, and you will own them outright from day one. The grant covers the full costs of the solar panels, all required additional equipment & full installation is included.

What are the benefits of having Solar PV?

Solar Photovoltaics (Solar PV) is the direct conversion of light into electric power using cells made from semiconducting materials. The cells don’t need direct sunlight to work and can even work on cloudy days. However, the stronger the sunshine, the more electricity generated. As Solar PV systems utilise the sun’s energy, they are a sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuels. Solar PV reduces your home’s electricity reliance on the grid, saves you money, are low maintenance, reduces carbon emissions and demonstrates your household’s commitment to fighting climate change.
